A plasma display panel is provided to improve an aperture ratio of a discharge space and transmittance of visible rays by arranging first and second electrodes in a vertical direction between a first and second substrates. A first and second substrates are disposed opposite to each other. A barrier rib layer is installed between the first and second substrates in order to form a discharge space. A phosphor layer(19) is formed within the discharge space. A pair of first electrodes(31) are formed opposite to each other between the first and second substrates in order to surround each side of the discharge space. A pair of second electrodes(32) are disposed perpendicularly to the first electrodes and the first and second substrates in order to surround each side of the discharge space. A plurality of address electrodes(11) are extended across the second electrodes and are separated from the second electrodes in the vertical direction of the first and second substrates.
