<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clip the image of a face after it is photographed. <P>SOLUTION: Original image data are read out from a memory card (step 71) and the image portion of a face is extracted by trimming (step 74). The image of a face is subjected to correction and the like (steps 35-39). Data representative of the image of a face subjected to correction and the like are recorded on a memory card (step 40). The original image and the image of a face are recorded on the memory card.
