<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vent hole equipment which has a deodorizing and sound-deadening function, and which makes ventilation resistance low. <P>SOLUTION: A vent hole 2 is provided in an external wall 1 composed of concrete etc., and a louver 3 is provided in the vent hole 2. A frame body 4 is arranged on the indoor side of the vent hole 2, and a deodorizing and sound-deadening body 5 is arranged inside the frame body 4. Elastic bodies such as sponge 6 are interposed between the bodies 5 and between the body 5 and the frame body 4, respectively. The body 5 is constituted by forming a sheet, composed of ceramic fibers, in a honeycomb shape. The body 5 has a deodorizing function, for example, by supporting a catalyst particle.
