PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery, capable of appropriately exhausting gas in a battery case to the outside when the internal pressure of the battery case exceeds a predetermined value. SOLUTION: In this battery 100, a wound body 150 includes an expansive deformation restraining part (a positive electrode sticking part 155c) restraining the radially outward expansive deformation of the wound body 150, at least at one end out of both ends in the axial direction. Furthermore, an opening end formation predetermined part (an inner opening end 112c of a through hole 112b), predetermined to form an opening end located on the innermost side of a gas exhaust passage 160, is located at a facing wall part (lid part 112). The center 112d of the opening end formation predetermined part (the inner opening end 112c) is disposed at a position on the expansive deformation retraining part (positive electrode sticking part 155c) side, rather than the axial center position 150b of the wound body 150 from the axial direction view of the wound body 150.
