PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid generation of a pseudo-profile when an image is printed by using dots with different sizes. SOLUTION: By referring to a converting table making the gradation values of image data correspond with the forming densities of the dots, the image data are converted to the forming densities of various dots. Then, a half-tone processing is performed on the forming densities to print the image. In addition, the converting table is set so that on at least one dot selected from dots except the minimum dot, after the dot is generated, the slope of the forming density is increased at a plurality of stages. Thereby, on this dot, at a part where the dot is newly generated in the image, an impression that the dot is suddenly generated is relaxed, and it can be also avoided that the forming density of smaller dot is largely changed. Therefore, without generating a problem on the quality of image such as the pseudo-profile, it becomes possible to print the image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
