PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for motor stators wherein a coolant supply port can be provided by a relatively simple method, a coil end can be provided with coolant without unintentional supplied, and space saving can be achieved. SOLUTION: The cooling device is for the stator of a motor constructed of a rotor 1, the stator 2, and a housing 4. A slit-like coolant supply port 11 is provided in the housing in correspondence with a coil end 3 that is not opposed to the circumferential surface of the rotor, of the coils wound on the core that constructs the stator. Coolant 12 is supplied from the coolant supply port toward the coil end under pressure, and the stator is thereby cooled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
