PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightning damage estimation apparatus which allows the estimation of damage to distribution facilities by lightning quickly and with high precision on the basis of information on the distance from a lightning position and lightning intensity. SOLUTION: The lightning damage estimation system 2 using the lightning damage estimation apparatus 1 comprises the lightning damage estimation apparatus 1, an LLS 3, and a feeder power station and substation 5 connected with a telecommunications network 4. The lightning damage estimation apparatus 1 comprises an LLS database 6, a distribution facilities position database 7, a distribution facilities correspondence database 8, an arithmetic processing unit 9, and a display 10. The arithmetic processing unit 9 comprises a station decision section 11, a distance calculation section 12, a lightning position vicinity decision section 13, a corresponding distribution facilities extraction section 14, a status change check section 15, and an estimated damage rank calculation section 16. This configuration allows the estimation of damage to the distribution facilities by lightning quickly and with high precision on the basis of information on the distance from a lightning position and lightning intensity.
