PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration unit capable of performing further appropriate opening control of an electronic expansion valve when a low-pressure pressure sensor is failed. SOLUTION: This refrigeration unit 1 comprises a control part 50 having an electronic expansion valve opening control part 89 which performs opening control of the electronic expansion valve 39 based on measured values of an outlet temperature sensor 55 and the low-pressure pressure sensor 57. The control part 50 includes an electronic expansion valve backup operation determination part 87 determining, upon change from a predetermined temperature change in freezing operation mode, the quality of the low-pressure pressure sensor 57, and changing the control mode of the electronic expansion valve opening control part 89. The electronic expansion valve opening control part 89 includes a backup control mode 92 for performing, in failure of the low-pressure pressure sensor 57, opening control of the electronic expansion valve 39 using measured values of the outlet temperature sensor 55 and a sucked air temperature sensor 61.
