PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of compatibly miniaturizing a paper feed mechanism and achieving the consistent paper feed operation in a system having two sheet stacking parts in which these two sheets are fed by a common paper feed mechanism. SOLUTION: A document stacking table 85 for supporting and stacking a document 12 is turnably mounted on an ASF base 80. The supporting position 85a of the document stacking table 85 is on the upstream side in the paper feed direction of the supporting position 82a of a pressing plate 82, and the center of rotation is provided at the predetermined distance from a base surface 80a of the ASF base 80. Thus, the turning angle of the document stacking table 85 associated with the vertical movement of the pressing plate 82 when the document 12 and a recording paper 2 are set is smaller than the rotational angle of the pressing plate 82.
