PROCESS CARTRIDGE HAVING CHARGE ROLLER CLEANING APPARATUS

A process cartridge having a charging roller cleaning device is provided to move contaminants such as waste developer left on the surface of a charging roller and remove the contaminants using a cleaning member to improve charging uniformity of a photosensitive medium. A process cartridge includes a photosensitive medium(100), a charging roller(200), and a cleaning unit(500). The charging roller is rotated in close proximity to the photosensitive medium to charge the surface of the photosensitive medium to a predetermined potential. The cleaning unit removes contaminants left on the surface of the charging roller. The cleaning unit includes a cleaning member(510) and a driver(520) for rotating the cleaning member. The cleaning member has a spiral part(511) which adheres to the outer surface of the charging roller and rotates. The driver includes a belt for connecting the photosensitive medium with the cleaning member.
