A broadcasting receiving device and a method for executing a data broadcasting application by using the same are provided to enable a user to define a user profile related to execution of the data broadcasting application and apply it to the application execution, thereby enabling the user to control indiscreet automatic execution of the data broadcasting application. A broadcasting receiving device comprises the followings: a profile management module(810) which manages user profile information indicating whether to execute a data broadcasting application; an application filtering module(850) which filters data composing the data broadcasting application from data signals of broadcast signals; and an application management module(830) which executes the data broadcasting application formed of the filtered data according to the user profile information.
