FUSING UNIT AND FUSING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

A fusing unit and a fusing apparatus using the same are provided to block current during overheating by using a blocking unit such as a bimetal having a rapid response to heat, thereby preventing a fire or the like caused by overheating. A fusing unit comprises the followings: a tubular fusing roller which has a heat generating unit and has electrode units in its both ends; a power supply unit(170) which is in contact with the electrode unit and supplies current; and a blocking unit(160) which is installed between the electrode unit and the power supply unit, and blocks current supply by separating the power supply unit from the electrode unit when a temperature of the heat generating unit rapidly increases. The power supply unit has a brush(171) contacting with the electrode unit, and has an elastic unit(173) for giving an elastic force to the brush so as to contact with the electrode unit.
