<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film-coated lithium cell which benefits from use of a film coating material, while improving the heat dissipation. <P>SOLUTION: A film coating type lithium cell 1 includes a cell capacity of 3Ah or more (typically 3 to 10Ah). This lithium cell 1 incorporates a low-profile lithium cell element 2, wherein a flattened electrode unit 30 with positive and negative electrodes is accommodated in a film coating material 10, as well as heat sinks 42 and 44 both attached in contact with the outside of the flattened surface on the lithium cell element 2.
