<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve miniaturization and simplification of device constitution further in an image forming apparatus and a fixing device equipped with a pressing state adjusting mechanism for changing a pressing state between a heating roller and a pressure roller (counter roller/pressure roller). <P>SOLUTION: A pressure roller support member 164 for rotatably supporting the pressure roller 163 is supported to rock in a fixing unit case 161. A spacer member 166 is supported to rock on the pressure roller support member 164. A spacer part 166a is erected at the edge part of the spacer member 166 substantially in the horizontal direction. The spacer member 166 rocks with a rocking pin 167a as center, whereby the spacer part 166a moves between a first position, where it is held between the fixing unit case 161 and the pressure roller support member 164 and a second position, where its held state between the fixing unit case 161 and the pressure roller support member 164 is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
