<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for an in-wheel motor capable of increasing rigidity of a rolling bearing supporting a hollow motor, securing accuracy after assembling without affected by a matched member, and improving riding quality of a vehicle and durability of a bearing. <P>SOLUTION: In this bearing device for the in-wheel motor comprising cases 2, 3 wherein a rotor 1a and a stator 1b are fixed to inner and outer peripheries, and a pair of rolling bearings 4 and a seal 5 mounted between the cases, the rolling bearing 4 comprises an inner ring 18, an outer ring 17 having a mounting flange 17b, and a rolling element 19, the outer case 2 is composed of a cover member 7, and an outer case main body 6 having a flange 6b, fitting portions 6a, 7a are formed on inner peripheral faces of opposite end portions, the outer ring 17 is internally fitted thereto through a radial clearance, further the mounting flange 17b is held by the flange 6b and the cover member 7 and fastened by a fixing bolt 10, and the pair of rolling bearings 4 are composed of back-to-back angular ball bearings. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
