<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor having an effect wherein a state of scroll display and an operation feeling of a user can be agreed. <P>SOLUTION: This data processor has a control part (an HDD 12) varying the state (a scroll initial velocity Vs<SB>0</SB>and a scroll continuing time T) of the scroll display according to contact coordinate data outputted before contact release on a touch panel 24. The HDD 12 stores a scroll control program for making a CPU 14 function as the control part. In the scroll control program, the scroll initial velocity Vs<SB>0</SB>is defined by an arithmetic expression "Vs<SB>0</SB>=F(Vtc)" with a change rate Vtc of contact coordinates as a variable.
