PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set color temperature of white displayed on a plasma display to a desired value without deteriorating luminance tone of a plurality of colors. SOLUTION: The plasma display apparatus comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a dielectric layer layered on the first substrate, first and second electrodes provided on the first substrate, covered with the dielectric layer and generating plasma by discharging via the dielectric layer, barrier ribs provided perpendicular to the first and second electrodes on the second substrate, and a plurality of phosphor layers provided in the discharge space formed of the barrier ribs on the second substrate and emitting lights of a plurality of colors respectively. The width of the discharge space having the phosphor layer of at least one color is different from the widths of the discharge spaces having the phosphor layers of other colors, the first and second electrodes in the discharge spaces having the phosphor layers of at least two colors each have apertures, and the apertures have different areas in the discharge spaces having the phosphor layers of two colors.
