<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CNT-containing composite material in which CNTs (carbon nanotubes) are dispersed and blended, and which has excellent mechanical properties, electric properties, thermal properties or the like, and is suitable in use as members and parts, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the CNT-containing metal powder, either or both of the inside or surface of metal powder holds CNTs. The CNT-containing composite material is obtained by sintering the CNT-containing metal powder. A stacked type CNT-containing composite material is obtained by build-up welding the CNT-containing metal powder on the surface of the base material. In the method for producing the CNT-containing metal powder, mechanical actions such as impulse force, compressive force, friction force and shearing force are applied to metal powder and CNT, so as to be integrated. In the method for producing a CNT-containing composite material, CNT-containing metal powder is heated in a nonoxidizing atmosphere, and is sintered. In the method for producing stacked type CNT-containing composite material, CNT-containing metal powder is heated in a nonoxidizing atmosphere, so as to be made into a melted or half-melted state, and is stacked on the surface of a base material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
