<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a vehicle capable of achieving illumination having good functionability with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting system for the vehicle, a second light guiding part 37 reflecting the incident light from a light source unit 30 by a wall surface 37b and guiding it to a second emission opening 11 opened to a vehicle width direction inner side surface of a scuff plate 7 is integrally connected to a first light guiding part 36 reflecting the incident light from the light source unit 30 by a bottom surface and guiding it to a first emission opening 10 opened to an upper surface of the scuff plate 7, and a light guiding plate 35 is constituted. Thus, the lighting system having excellent functionability can be achieved with the simple structure without increasing a number of parts. That is, with the usage of the single light guiding plate 35 stored in the scuff plate 7, scuff illumination and foot illumination can be simultaneously achieved. At the time, a connection part 38 for connecting the first and the second light guiding parts 36 and 37 is in a constricted shape, and thereby optical interference between the light guiding parts 36 and 37 can be restrained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
