<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management apparatus that can immediately perform reproduction by being powered ON again if a key for ciphering is broken, and to provide a program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: When the power source is turned ON, an encryption key is generated based upon a previously set master key and written to a nonvolatile memory 3. Then, an authentication key stored on a storage medium 4 is collated with the encryption key. Then when the collation result is good, writing/reading processing of the storage medium is carried out, but when the collation result is bad, the storage medium is formatted; and then an authentication key is generated based upon the master key and written to the storage medium 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
