PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the reliability of the electric connection in mounting an electronic component in mounting the electronic component. SOLUTION: This carrier tape 1 for housing the electronic component is equipped with an embossing tape 2 and a cover tape 3. In this case, the embossing tape 2 has a bottom surface 2a<SB>1</SB>which covers a second main surface 100b of the electronic component 100 equipped with a first main surface 100a, the second main surface 100b on the opposite side the first main surface 100a, and a terminal 100c which is provided on the second main surface 100b side, and on which a pocket 2a for housing the electronic component 100 is formed. The cover tape 3 having an adhesive layer 3c adhering to at least a part of the first main surface 100a of the electronic component 100 closes the pocket 2a and is bonded to the embossing tape 2.
