PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing and a cage for the roller bearing, capable of stably guiding a roller. SOLUTION: The cage for the needle roller bearing is formed through a pocketing process after a V-type form molding process. A shape measurement line 32 of a part corresponding to a bent portion of a pole portion, of a shear surface included in a side wall face, does not have a partial uneven portion, and a shear surface positioned at a central portion of the side wall face is flat, and has the shape along a visible outline 31 of a needle roller.
