The device has vibration sensors (6) positioned in a concave area of a stone wall. An additional sensor (7) is arranged in an upper area of a trough base. The sensors are connected to an electronic data processing equipment (9) and to optical/acoustic signal equipment using a technical data connection. The processing equipment is provided with a computer to determine the position of contaminants i.e. stones.
