AFTERIMAGE ELIMINATING METHOD FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS

A method for removing an afterimage in a liquid crystal display device is provided to increase design freedom by using a software scheme, rather than a hardware scheme. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(110) includes plural data lines, gate lines, and pixels. A timing controller(120) receives a horizontal synchronous signal, a vertical synchronous signal, a data enable signal, and an RGB data signal from an external graphic source. A source driver(130) includes plural source driver ICs and generates signals for driving source lines of the LCD panel in response to the RGB data and control signals from the timing controller. A gate driver(140) includes plural gate driver ICs and sequentially scans the gate lines of the LCD panel according to control signals from the timing controller.
