FLOURESCENT LAMP AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A discharge lamp and a display apparatus having the same are provided to extend life span of a lamp by improving sputtering resistance, and prevent deterioration of the quality of a display apparatus due to discoloration of an optical member around the lamp by improving the ultraviolet shielding capability. A discharge tube(10) is made of glass including titanium oxide, wherein a fluorescent substance(11) is applied on an inner wall surface. A plurality of discharge electrodes(16) are made of a nickel-niobium alloy, arranged at both ends of the discharge tube. Discharge gas is filled in the discharge tube.
