<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of minimizing a change in an amount of a nip even in the case where the outside diameter of a developing roller changes with a change in the volume of a member, especially one used in the developing roller, with humidity, and to provide a nip amount adjustment mechanism and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a positioning member 22 that positions the developing roller 3 in relation to an image carrier 10 by having a through shaft hole 22a through which a shaft 23 for the image carrier 10 is inserted and a shaft hole 22b in which the end of a metal core 3a of the developing roller 3 is received. The positioning member 22 is made of a material that causes a change in distance between the shafts to substantially the same degree as a change in the radius of the developing roller 3 with humidity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
