<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable designers and manufacturers to easily select high quality component by managing information relating to component. <P>SOLUTION: This component management system is provided with a component database 119 for registering component data relating to component approved to be purchased on the basis of prescribed standards, a mail server for receiving information relating to component from a component provider in an electronic mail format, and for providing the received information to persons who are responsible for selecting the component.
