PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high efficiency for a whole region from a minimum load to a maximum load when a converter is applied to a power supply part such as SMPS for PDP, whose load fluctuation is remarkably large. SOLUTION: The converter includes first and second switches which are connected between a power supply and ground in series. The switches comprise a switching part which switching-operates by first and second switching signals where the same levels of phases are not mutually overlapped, a transformer part which converts voltage applied to primary winding into secondary winding by a switching operation of the switching part and in which resonance is formed by an inductor and a capacitor of primary winding, a rectification part for rectifying voltage from the transformer part and converting it into DC voltage, a feedback circuit part for detecting output voltage outputted through the rectification part, and a control part for controlling pulse width of the first and second switching signals having fixed frequencies by a PWM system with detected voltage and controlling the first and second switches.
