PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the function of a cellular phone in a mobile communication system. SOLUTION: The method is provided with a step for receiving a pilot signal having a pseudo noise (PN) code, a step for determining whether the received pilot signal has a predetermined PN offset, a step for setting the specific functional limitation of the cellular phone when the pilot signal is a predetermined first PN offset, and a step for resetting the set specific functional limitation of the cellular phone when the pilot signal is a predetermined second PN offset.
