PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly fix a cylindrical nut to an attachment plate by machining the cylindrical nut having high strength with high machining accuracy. SOLUTION: A ring like groove 5 for fitting a rim of an attachment hole to be attached is formed on a one end side circumferential wall of a cylinder 2, a cylindrical hole 3b in a ring like groove periphery including the ring like groove is formed with a larger diameter than another cylindrical hole 2b, and a cylinder wall is partially thinned. In the manufacturing method, a bottomed cylinder part is formed by carrying out a number of times of drawing of a plate material, the cylinder part is considered as an inner cylinder, its outer circumferential side is folded back toward a tip side of the inner cylinder to form an outer cylinder higher than the inner cylinder, the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder are closely adhered to each other and integrated, and the ring like groove is formed in a position on an outer circumferential face of the outer cylinder, not overlapping the inner cylinder.
