A compressor ( 1 ), in particular a lateral channel compressor, is cited, enabling fluid ducts ( 10 ) with varying duct ends ( 28, 30, 48, 52, 60 ) to be joined easily and flexibly. To this end, the compressor ( 1 ) comprises a connector ( 8 ) which is allocated to an inlet or outlet connecting piece ( 4, 4 a , 4 b). The connector ( 8 ) has a flange ( 12 ) for being joined to the inlet or outlet connecting piece ( 4, 4 a , 4 b) and a number of connecting ends ( 24, 26 ) for being joined to the duct end ( 28, 30, 48, 52, 60 ) of the fluid duct ( 10 ), with the connecting end ( 24, 26 ) or the connecting ends ( 24, 26 ), respectively, being designed for optional connection of varying duct ends ( 28, 30, 48, 52, 60 ).
