A plastic heat exchanger and a joining method thereof are provided to improve productivity of a plastic exchanger by reducing a cooling pipe inserting process. In a plastic heat exchanger, two separate cooling pipes laterally continue in an upper plate(110) and a lower plate(120). An upper header(112) and a lower header(122) are installed on both ends of the upper plate and a lower plate. An upper fusion part(114) and a lower fusion part(124) connect two separate cooling pipes. A protrusion(116) is installed on the upper fusion part. A recession(126) is installed on the upper fusion part. The protrusion and the recession are melted and coupled by a friction force. And, the plastic heat exchanger is made of a thermal conductive resin. More particularly, the thermal conductive resin is made of a PBT(Poly Butylene Terephthalate) to have a short forming time and an excellent chemical resistance property with a rapid crystallization speed.
