A method for avoiding signal interference of an inverter operational frequency is provided to compare horizontal frequency information of a television with operating frequency information of an inverter and change the operating frequency of the inverter within a variable range if the horizontal frequency is the same as or equal to the operating frequency of the inverter and then output the changed operating frequency, thereby preventing screen interference. In a method for avoiding signal interference of an inverter operational frequency in an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) television, the method comprises the following steps of: comparing horizontal frequency information of the television with operating frequency information of an inverter for driving a lamp(S40); and changing the operating frequency of the inverter within a variable range if a horizontal frequency is the same as or equal to the operating frequency of the inverter, and outputting the changed operating frequency of the inverter(S50).
