<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DNA encoding a hydrolytic enzyme of an acetamide of (S)-2-exo-acetamidonorbornane; and to provide a new method for producing an optically active 2-exo-acetamidonorbornane. <P>SOLUTION: The DNA encodes a part or the whole of a protein having ability for hydrolyzing the acetamide group of the (S)-2-exo-acetamidonorbornane to afford (S)-2-exo-aminonorbornane. The method for isolating the DNA involves obtaining the DNA from a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium. The protein encoded by the DNA, the plasmid carrying the DNA, the transformant transformed by the plasmid, the method for producing the optically active 2-exo-acetamidonorbornane by using the transformant or the like, etc., are also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
