<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device which has no floating nor positional deviation of a transparent window member, and also to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The optical device has such a structure that an imaging element 4 is mounted inside a concave resin package 3, and the transparent window member 7 for sealing the imaging element 4 is fixed on the upper end face of the resin package 3 by means of an adhesive 6. The resin package 3 and the transparent window member 7 are formed in such a shape that the facing plane of either the resin package 3 or the transparent window member 7 or the facing planes of both of them may be tapered planes 2a and 7a to form a wedge-shaped space between the facing planes. The fixing method of the transparent window member 7 on the upper end face of the resin package 3, has a process of placing the transparent window member 7 on the resin package 3; a process of heating in advance the resin package 3 before or after placing the transparent window member 7, to allow the adhesive 6 to fit comfortably with the transparent window member 7 and the resin package 3; and a process of filling in the spaces between the facing planes of the heated resin package 3 and the transparent window member 7 with the adhesive 6, and then hardening it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
