<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the power limiting method of a hybrid vehicle for instantaneously limiting the power of a battery so as to protect a battery. <P>SOLUTION: In the power limiting method of a hybrid vehicle equipped with an electric change gear for transmitting driving torque to an output shaft by connecting an engine and two motors to a gear with two degrees of freedom, when limiting the power of a battery in the electric change gear, the power is limited by successively passing through a two-staged power limiting part constituted of: a regular power limiting part using a power estimating means which is equipped with a low pass filter (steps S1 to S5); and an instantaneous power limiting part using a power estimating means which is not equipped with any low pass filter (steps S6 to S9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
