<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device and a driving method of a light emitting display panel capable of achieving low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A display data detecting means 4b detects whether arrays of image data corresponding to one scanning and of image data corresponding to the next scanning are identical or not. If the arrays are judged as not identical, AND gates 6, 7 are opened and a data driver 2 operates by each scanning to output different display data by each scanning to the display panel. If the display data detecting means 4b judges that the arrays of the image data in the scanning lines are identical, the AND gates 6, 7 are closed, and a latch circuit 2b in the data driver 2 holds the latest image data and outputs the same display data by each scanning to the display panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
