<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallax generator, capable of generating an image by using different position and direction of a camera, without restoring a three-dimensional shape, mapping pixels between images, or requiring a vast memory. <P>SOLUTION: The parallax generator 1 is provided with a coordinate data storage means 16 for storing coordinate data, indicating coordinates h', v' of a pixel in a parallax image mapping with a pixel associated with a displacement amount p, indicating a relative position and relative direction of a virtual camera to a camera, coordinates h, v of the pixel, and a distance d, from an object corresponding to the pixel to the camera; a geometrical conversion means (coordinate transformation means) 17 for reading coordinate data, based on a displacement amount p and distance information input from outside and calculating the coordinates h', v' of the pixel in the parallax image by interpolation operation; and a parallax image storage means 24 for storing a pixel value of an input image, as a pixel value of the pixel in the coordinates h', v'. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
