PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus capable of restraining inside of the apparatus from intrusion of water even when washing a translucent part by a high pressure washing machine with high water pressure. SOLUTION: Since a translucent glass 2 is formed larger than an apparatus main body 1, and a packing 1c arranged between the translucent glass 2 and the apparatus main body 1 can be arranged at backside of the translucent glass 2, even high water pressure is jetted from the high pressure washing machine, power of the water is weakened at a surface of the translucent glass 2, and the water with weakened power does not intrudes into the apparatus main body 1 and flows down by the packing 1c even if the water creeps toward backside of the translucent glass 2. Furthermore, since the translucent glass 2 is formed larger than the apparatus main body 1 and the water pressure is reduced by the translucent glass 2, the intrusion of the water from side face part of the apparatus can be prevented also.
