<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress disruption of communication between modems and generation of abnormal data caused by disturbance etc. of an IP network, and to quickly start communication between modems when the IP network is restored to normal. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system is configured to perform packet communication between a first modem 22 provided in a first communication station and a second modem 32 provided in a second communication station via a first and a second communication terminal apparatuses 23 and 33, and an IP network 10. The first and the second communication terminal apparatuses 23 and 33 are provided with a modem interface apparatus. The modem interface apparatus has a function to monitor a receiving condition of packets that have passed through the IP network 10 and to stop a transmission of a signal received by the first communication terminal apparatus 23 to the first modem and a transmission of a signal received by the second communication terminal apparatus 33 to the second modem 32 when a failure of packet reception such as packet loss is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
