PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin foamed molding which is excellent in the quality of its surface appearance, which can stably obtain a highly uniform diameter of a foamed cell and which has a high foaming ratio, and a manufacturing method for the thermoplastic resin foamed molding. SOLUTION: Characteristically, this manufacturing method comprises: a step of preinjecting an inert gas into a mold with a movable core capable of varying a cavity volume; a step of infiltrating a supercritical fluid into a molten resin obtained by mixing a chemical foaming agent, so as to infilling the molten resin into the mold; and a step of retreating the movable core in the direction of increasing the cavity volume, when the molten resin is infilled into the mold.
