PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that all the ink cartridges are used in a condition that the plurality of cartridges are loaded, it is troublesome to frequently carry out the detaching or attaching of the ink cartridge every time when the printing is performed while the controlling can be performed only by carrying out the detaching or attaching, and a print result desired by a user is not always obtained in the case where the attachment condition of the ink cartridge is not acquired from a printer because bi-directional communication between the printer and an image processor is disabled. SOLUTION: The information of the attachment condition of the ink cartridge of the printer is acquired. The ink cartridge to be used for printing is determined according to the acquired attachment condition and the other content of a printing configuration, and then the printing data is produced by performing processing of an image suitable for the determined ink cartridge.
