PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for improving the removability of inorganic stain capable of improving the performance of a detergent to remove water stain. SOLUTION: The removability improving agent for inorganic stain contains (a) a polybasic carboxylic acid having a molecular weight of 90-500 or its salt and (b) a compound of general formula (1): R<SP>1</SP>-O-X (R<SP>1</SP>is 2-ethylhexyl, isononyl or isodecyl; and X is CH<SB>2</SB>CH(OH)CH<SB>2</SB>OH) at a (b)/(a) mass ratio of 0.01-4 and has a pH of 6-8 at 25°C.
