PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pest control agent especially an insecticide or a miticide. SOLUTION: The pest control agent comprises a substituted isoxazoline compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein, A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP>and A<SP>3</SP>are C or N; G<SP>1</SP>is benzene ring or the like; G<SP>2</SP>is pyrazole ring, triazole ring, tetrazole ring or the like; X is a halogen atom, a 1-6C haloalkyl or the like; Y is a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; and Z<SP>a</SP>is a halogen atom, cyano, nitro, a 1-6C alkyl, -C(O)N(R<SP>2</SP>)R<SP>1</SP>, -C(S)N(R<SP>2</SP>)R<SP>1</SP>or the like] or its salt.
