PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attendant handling guiding device for an automatic transaction machine, and a coin teller machine that perform effective guide display from the occurrence to restoration of a trouble, when the trouble occurs, and hence enables the attendant to perform an appropriate trouble restoration action. SOLUTION: The number of error code occurrence times is stored in a number-of-occurrence-times table 23 for each error code. A restoration processing section 21 utilizes the number-of-occurrence-times table 23, to calculate the number of error code occurrence times when a new trouble occurs, displays a guide corresponding to a first restoration code at an attendant operation display section 10b, when the calculated number of occurrence times is less than a threshold K1, and controls the guide display corresponding to a second restoration code at the operation display section, when the number of occurrence times is the same as the threshold K1 or higher.
