PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect, with simple composition, the presence or absence of an abnormal discharge such as a multiple-bottle sale. SOLUTION: The control device of a vending machine is provided with; a discharge means 3 which discharges articles based on sales instructions; a sold-out detection means 4 which is arranged in the discharge means 3 and detects the sold-out states of the articles; and an abnormal discharge detection means 6 which determines the sold-out state of the articles in response to an input signal which the sold-out detection means 4 detects, and determines either an ordinary discharge state or an abnormal discharge state.
