PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a cage for a needle bearing and a method of manufacturing the needle bearing capable of stably guiding rollers. SOLUTION: The method comprises a pocket punching-out process for punching out a pocket to have a shear surface punched out by a punching-out blade at an outer diameter side, and a fracture surface torn off by a material pushed in by the punching-out blade at an inner-diameter side, when a cylindrical surface is formed on a side wall surface of a pole portion, and a pressing process for pressing and bending a central portion of the pole portion to the inner-diameter side in forming the cylindrical surface.
