PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of preventing stains from deposition on the grooves of a rotary guide used for conveying filament yarn and efficiently removing deposits on the grooves. SOLUTION: A V-groove type rotary guide for use in conveying filament yarn is provided, being such that a slit is furnished around the overall circumference of the groove bottom. A second version of the V-groove type rotary guide is such that a hollow is furnished around the overall circumference at an intermediate position between the rotating central axis and a slit, wherein the hollow communicates with the slit. A third version of the V-groove type rotary guide is such that a hollow communicates with the outside at a point other than a slit. A method for conveying filament yarn in such a condition that the slit of the V-groove type rotary guide is in contact with a cleansing liquid is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
