PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for fishing, capable of preventing a mounting base from suffering under a burden against a tug in every direction, or a fishing rod from vigorously standing up due to a weight of a reel, even when a boat heavily pitches. SOLUTION: This holder for fishing is composed of a holder main body which is equipped with a vertically-axial cylindrical shaft under a holding part of the fishing rod and a mounting base which is equipped with a stanchion pipe in such a manner that the cylindrical shaft is rotatably inserted into the stanchion pipe and the stanchion pipe revolvably supports the holder main body, wherein the stanchion pipe of the mounting base is equipped with a diameter-reducible chuck part which adjusts frictional force between the stanchion pipe and the inserted cylindrical shaft. The diameter-reducible chuck part is formed into a dual pipe structure comprising an inner pipe and an outer pipe, so that the cylindrical shaft is passed through the inner pipe and the inner pipe is concentrically inserted into the outer pipe. Further, the outer pipe is made to be diameter-reducible by adjusting a clearance of a slit formed in a radial direction thereof and the inner pipe is, on the other hand, equipped with a pair of circular tightening members of which the each is movable toward the center and oppositely positioned. Therefore, the circular members are thrust by an inner wall of the diameter-reduced outer pipe, so that a confrontation distance between the circular members is adjusted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
