A seat pillar (SP) (20) forms a prismatic joint between two stops by sliding it lengthwise against a seat-pillar tube (SPT) (10) or against an adapter on the SPT. The SP and SPT or adapter on the SPT form a locking piece and a toothed locking mechanism working on a single side.
